CU Marketing Ltd

About Us

CU Marketing Ltd is owned by brother and sister team, Andrew and Christena Irvine. They always planned to work together to help small businesses and individually gained knowledge and experience in their fields prior to starting the company. Andrew is the technology expert and Christena is a marketing specialist. With the services we provide, it is essential that these two different areas of expertise work seamlessly together. Being family makes that easier most of the time.

Andrew Irvine

Andrew Irvine

Andrew has a deep understanding of many web technologies. He created his first website in 1996, at the age of 16, when barely anyone knew what the internet was.

He has worked for several companies of various sizes throughout Britain from London to Aberdeen before moving back to Shetland. He does have a tendency to focus a lot on a project and doesn’t sleep for days at a time in order to see it through to completion.

Andrew enjoys running and is currently training for his second marathon in April.

Christena Irvine

Christena Irvine

Christena is a Chartered Marketer with over twelve years professional marketing management experience. She is involved with the Shetland branch of the federation of small businesses and has always been really keen to use the knowledge she has gained to support small businesses.

Recently, Christena project managed the development of a Business Improvement District (BID) for Lerwick town centre. The BID business plan and proposal she put together for Living Lerwick is now used by BIDS Scotland as the example of best practice for Scotland. After the businesses in Lerwick town centre had voted for the formation of a BID, CU Marketing Ltd won the Living Lerwick BID management contract.

Christena lives with her partner Kenneth and their two small “assistants” who occasionally work in the office on their Vtech laptops.

Leigh-Ann McGinty

Leigh-Ann McGinty

Leigh-Ann has worked in retail since she was 16 and worked her way up to become Store Manager of a clothing shop in Shetland by the age of 23. While she enjoyed retail, management has shown her that her skills are best used in an administrative role.

Being a computer enthusiast, from online shopping to online gaming, CU marketing was a perfect fit to combine Leigh-Ann’s skills and knowledge of retail marketing and promotion.

Leigh-Ann moved from Glasgow for this opportunity and makes regular visits back home to top up her city-girl lifestyle.
